Motorola Droid Bionic not coming before Summer
Apr 22nd, 2011 by Dipak Sarda

MOTOROLA LOGO Motorola Droid Bionic

Motorola’s Droid Bionic Smartphone was targeted for spring but the much-touted handset has been delayed. Motorola claims that this much needed pause will help them expand the functionality and features of the handset. The Smartphone boasts of an 8 megapixel camera and a 4.3-inch qHD (quarter-high-definition) screen.

It was in January that the Droid Bionic was introduced at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show). Powered by a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra Dual Core processor, Bionic was being touted as Moto’s best performing Smartphone so far.

Improvement of form factor apart from more features is being claimed as the reason for the delay by Motorola representatives. However there are other speculations that Motorola mightbe waiting for Android 2.3 Gingerbread or they might be thinking about an NFC chip.

Another notable reason could be that the handset sounds very much like Motorola Atrix 4G which features the same Android 2.2 and a qHD screen.

Motorola however is trying to keep its cards closer to its chest as it claims the Droid Bionic to be the best 4G LTE device in the market.
