ViewSonic ViewPad

There is yet another Android tablet set to launch this week, as ViewSonic confirmed the 10-inch ViewPad 10 tablet PC. The ViewPad 10 is a dual-booting tablet and can be used with Android or Windows 7.

And to help people grab the tablet cheaper, ViweSonic has arrangements with many retailers on an unusual trade-in scheme for laptops. You can get the ViewPad 10 or the smaller 7-inch Android 2.2 powered ViewPad 7 for a larger discount if the receipt is preserved and you trade-in any old laptop.

The ViewPad 10 is being offered for £429 by Expansys inclusive of free shipping. You can however get a discount / rebate of £125 from the manufacturer, ViewSonic after trading in a good-for-nothing old laptop. The net price for the ViewPad 10 is thus just £304.99.

The ViewPad specs look good except the fact that the Android version we are talking about here is the archaic Android 1.6 as the ViewPad has compatibility issues with the Intel processor underneath.
