Leading UK bed and mattress manufacturer, Mattressman is geared up to bring one more addition to its Android tablet offerings, the Andy Pad Pro. The Andy Pad Pro will come with better specs than that of its younger brother, Andy Pad which is considered as the brain child of the UK mattress maker.

The Andy Pad Pro is powered by a 1.2GHz ARM-based Cortex A8 SoC and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The tablet also features onboard memory of up to 16GB, a front facing as well as a rear camera.

It boasts a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen having a resolution of 1024×600 pixels which is in tune with that of the RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook or the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Also bundled with the tablet are Bluetooth, a HDMI port, a microSD card reader, a micro USB port along with a raft of apps.

Both the tablets the Andy Pad Pro and the Andy Pad are expected to hit the UK market in September. The Andy Pad would come with a price tag of £129 where as the Andy Pad Pro would cost £179.

The cheaper Andy Pad would however come with a resistive 7-inch WVGA touchscreen, a single front facing camera along with onboard storage of 8GB.
