Acer Iconia Tab A100

Taiwanese giant, Acer is all set to join the burgeoning Tablet PC market where we have seen announcements from bigwigs as well as smaller players joining the fray. Acer tablets will face a formidable challenge as they plan to enter the crowded tablet market to compete with Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Dell Streak and Next tablet.

The interesting fact is that the Acer Iconia tablets which were unveiled on March 26th have already been made available from Dixons. As per the Dixons’ website, both the W500 and A500 are presently in stock and can be owned for £450 with no additional delivery charges.

As of now, for each Acer tablet only one unit of stock has been opted by Dixons rather than listing the 3G version of the tablet. You will be more surprised to know that two-small screen tablets viz. the Acer Iconia A100 and A101 along with the Acer Iconia laptop are not listed on Dixons’ site in spite of being announced at the MWC.

Of all five Acer products that have been mentioned, the Acer Iconia TAB W500 which is powered by an AMD C-50 dual core processor is the most amazing one. It also comes with the option of adding a keyboard so as to change it to a notebook as well as includes Windows 7 Home Premuim.

Coming to the Iconia TAB A100, it comes with the same price tag as that of the Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi version.
