Hands on with the BlackBerry Torch 2

BlackBerry Torch 2 and the BlackBerry Bold Touch gets some hands on treatment from the international phone botherers BGR. Both the handsets have not yet been revealed officially. They are however expected to be released at the BlackBerry World next month.

The BlackBerry Torch 2 is said to be the second iteration of the RIM’s touchscreen handset, the BlackBerry Torch having a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

The Torch 2 is said to be just as the original Torch having same physical dimensions. However, internally the handset boasts 1.2GHz CPU and a 640 x 480 display. RIM has successfully addressed one of the biggest drawbacks of the original Torch which was pixel density by now doubling the resolution.

The greatest enhancement to the upcoming Torch 2 is said to be BlackBerry OS 6.1. Much information is not available regarding the BlackBerry Bold Touch except that handset is said to appear better than the original one and comes with a new battery.

The much hyped BlackBerry gadgets are anticipated to be announced in May at the BlackBerry World and hit the store shelves by July. The fresh new OS and upgraded hardware combination is expected to be sufficient to win the confidence of the most BlackBerry users.
