BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900, which is supposed to be the thinnest and sleekest Smartphone from BlackBerry is geared up to land the UK market in August as per an online retailer.

According to Play, this NFC enabled smartphone would hit the UK market on 12th of August where as it would be available on the 15th of September as per Amazon. However, both the online retailers have listed its retail price as £519.99 which is £30 less than the suggested retail price of the device.

O2, Three and Vodafone are said to stock the smartphone, which would be ahead of other competitors in NFC enabled devices market. Also, a white version of the device is expected around the same time.

It is the first BlackBerry Smartphone to be built on latest RIM operating system, BlackBerry OS 7.0, which brings increased fastness to the tune of at least 1.6 times than the existing one. Again this is first Smartphone to come with full version of Docs To Go, which allows full version editing of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint files.

The smartphone packs a 2.8-inch VGA capacitive touch-screen, a full QWERTY keyboard and an optical trackpad. Other specs of the handset are a 1.2GHz single core SoC, a 5MP camera with HD video recording, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, AGPS, 768MB of RAM, 8GB of onboard memory and much more.
