Software giant, Microsoft has integrated its SkyDrive with its latest mobile platform, the Windows Phone Mango.

Microsoft made its Windows Phone Mango platform available to manufacturers this week. The software giant made an official announcement on a blog that it signed off an RTM (Release to Manufacturing) version of its Windows Phone platform named as Mango.

Around 500 new features are bundled into the Mango apart from the IE9 browser, enriched mail app, and better social networking and IM functionalities.

The integration of Microsoft’s cloud based service, Windows Live Skydrive is like an icing on the cake. Users can store pics, videos, and documents on the cloud using this service and thus have ease of access and sharing. The Skydrive can also be used as a music streaming service though it was not an intended primary use case.

There are manufacturers like Samsung, Fujitsu, ZTE, LG, HTC, and Acer who are actively developing handsets on the Mango platform and we need to keep our fingers crossed till the time when people provide feedback on the Mango.
