Nokia X7 has been launched in the UK, courtesy Three UK. X7 is the second Symbian Anna platform driven Smartphone and is not a cheap as expected.

Similar to Samsung Galaxy S II, the Nokia X7 can be picked on “The One” plan from Three UK for £35 per month. You get unlimited data, 2000 minutes, 5000 texts and 5000 Three to Three minutes.

The Nokia X7 can be picked for £380 on PAYG while the HTC Desire S and the Samsung Galaxy S II cost £360 and £500 respectively. The handset has a 4-inch OLED display with a resolution of 640 x 360.

Powered by a 680MHz Broadcom BCM7227 ARM11 SoC, it comes with 256MB RAM and 1GB ROM plus 8GB MicroSD card storage and a 1200mAh Li-Ion battery. Wi-Fi, USB on-the-go capability, AGPS, MicroUSB, an 8 megapixel snapper with dual LED and HD Video recording option are all available too.

X7 is stunning; however it sounds too expensive for the entry level hardware capabilities that it sports. Nokia N8, Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and Xperia Arc can all be grabbed for the same monthly tariffs and the Apple iPhone 4 can be grabbed by an additional upfront payment of just £69.
