Samsung Galaxy S II, the sequel to Samsung’s flagship handset Galaxy S is set to be available a week before its official launch, thanks to the third party retailer, Phones4U.

It is quite well-known that the official UK release date is May 1st for Samsung’s first Dual-core Smartphone; Phones 4 U however has gone all around the town that the latest competition to the Apple iPhone will start shipping on 27th April.

Another related development is that mobile service provider, T-Mobile announced that it has no intentions to stock the Android 2.3 powered Galaxy S II until June, one month behind its competition.

Three, Vodafone, O2, and Orange, T-Mobile’s partner in “Everything Everywhere” have all announced that the gadget will be hosted from the first day of the launch i.e., May 1st.

The Galaxy S II is the latest addition to the ultra-popular Galaxy S family. Slimmer, lighter and faster, Galaxy S II is a mere 8.49mm thick, weighs only 116g and has a huge 4.27-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen.

The device comes pre-loaded with the latest Google operating system – Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Also bungled are a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. And of course adding value is an 8MP camera capable of recording HD 1080p video.
