HP is all set to come up with its first webOS tablet, the TouchPad which would give cutting-edge competition to the already dominating Apple’s iPad and iPad 2 tablets. The tablet will be officially launched in mid-July in the UK and would cost the same as the competitor Apple iPad.

The webOS tablet would be available in America, France and Germany on 1st of July. You can place your hands on the 16GB model for £399 and on the 32GB model for £479. Preorders for the first round of the TouchPad tablets will start from 19 June.

The webOS tablet comes with a Wi-Fi connection, a 9.7-inch display as well as a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. According to HP, the TouchPad would be a compelling alternative when compared to other tablets, thanks to its webOS.

The tablet will be more suited for both personal and professional use due to the amazing features and flexibility offered by the webOS platform which features Beats Audio technology.

The users will be able to enjoy ‘next-level multitasking’ as well as improved web access with the HP TouchPad which integrates webOS. The TouchPad is also expected to land in Ireland, Spain, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore in the later part of the year.
