The much hyped handset from HTC, the HTC Sensation is now ready for pre-orders from Vodafone to enter major European markets in the coming few months. The HTC handset is first in the market which is powered by Qualcomm dual core system on chip running at 1.2GHz.

The device was unveiled officially yesterday at a media event held in London. The display of this latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone boasts new super blur-o-vision technology.

Coming to the specs of the smartphone, it is said to be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1080p video playback via HDMI, a 4.3-inch, 540×960 qHD screen and 4G connectivity in US models.

The Sensation which comes with Super LCD screen technology weighs just 148g and is 11.9 mm thick. It also has five sensors, a 1530mAh battery and onboard GPS. The HTC Sensation is said to bind together multimedia content with relevant and thoughtful features thereby resulting in a new dimension to Vodafone’s smartphone range.

Additionally, the Sensation will be first HTC smartphone that would bring the super resistant Corning glass onboard as well as go beyond WVGA resolutions. It is said to sport an amazing 8MP camera with front-facing to allow videoconferencing. It is also anticipated that the handset will be loaded with Android 3.0 software.

The smartphone is expected to be available by middle of May 2011. You can grab the device for free on £40 or more tariffs.
