News is in the air that Samsung is planning to come up with the launch of 3D version of its Galaxy S2 device. The handset which will be named as the Samsung Galaxy 3D is said to rival LG Optimus 3D and HTC Evo 3D.

The Korean website ETNews leaked the news which also says that the device will be probably released in the Q4 of 2011, which is during Christmas time.

The Galaxy 3D is expected to be powered by an Exynos 4210 SoC clocked at 1.2GHz. The handset is said to run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread as well as feature a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive 3D glassless screen, onboard memory of 32GB, 1GB RAM and two 8 megapixel rear facing cameras.

It is also anticipated that the device would be priced more than that of the S2. Samsung Galaxy 3D will be the third 3D mainstream device hitting the market by the time of its launch. It is also said to be the most expensive of the three 3D handsets.

However, we need to wait and watch if Samsung will also be upgrading the monitor to qHD by adding full HD 3D video capture.
