January 19th, 2011 by Dipak Sarda

Samsung Star II, is successor to Samsung Star which was released in UK as Tocco Lite, which was very successful. Samsung Star has been sold over 30 million handsets across the world in one year, since its launch in 2009. This was one of few mobiles, which has reached this pretty impressive figure. Samsung has recently upgraded the Samsung Star and has released as Samsung Star II with many upgraded features.

It has pretty impressive upgraded features, when compared to its predecessor. Interfaced through 3 inch WQVGA touch screen with 262 colors and 240X400 pixel resolution.  Along with pretty impressive interface, it also comes up with powerful network capabilities like 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth. It comes with one of the long lasting Li-Ion 1000mAh battery and facility for expandable memory in form of MicroSD card slot. For music lovers its sports 3.5 mm jack to accommodate headphones.

Out of the all these features, most striking is its touch screen interface, as it is built over Samsung’s patented TouchWiz 3.0 UI technology.

Samsung’s sources were pretty positive about the handset and expect it to do more sales than its predecessor.
