What is Nokia Mystic all about?
Mar 15th, 2010 by Dipak Sarda

Nokia Mystic has been rumoured around for a long while now, and there were initial hints that the Mystic is the same one as Nokia C6. However, it does not seem to be true anymore as mentioned in our earlier posts. And in that case, what will the Nokia Mystic really look like? Will it be a Touch-screen handset or will it have a QWERTY keypad? Let’s evaluate some of the options.

Because of intense speculation, it seemed as if the Nokia C6 and the Nokia Mystic will end up being one and the same. However it seems that Nokia is going to slot the C Series in the mid range slot and this means C6 is to be placed behind Nokia N97. Rumours are afloat that the C6 would have lesser memory as compared to the Nokia N97. And given the leaked images of the Nokia Mystic, it should be something different from the Nokia C6.

These images suggest that the Mystic would be similar to the Nokia E72 by design with a QWERTY keypad and a simple style. And such a handset is very unlikely to sport a Touch-screen display and will rather target the email/messaging use cases.

And if the display is smaller without any touch-screen features, it means that the battery would last longer and it will be all the more useful for business use.

Nokia launched its C Series of mobile phones with its Nokia C5 recently and and rumour mills were agog that the Nokia Mystic would be the next one in the Nokia C Series by name Nokia C6. But if we are to believe a recent article published on engadget, this might not be true.

The bright white handset and some information from Tom’s guide made people assume it to be the Nokia C6 handset. The image showed it in the style of Nokia 5230 with a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

It seems that Nokia is going to slot the C Series in the mid range slot and this image meant C6 to be placed behind Nokia N97. Rumours are afloat that the C6 would have lesser memory as compared to the Nokia N97.

Though Nokia has not come out with any official release date for the Nokia C6, speculations are rife that the Nokia C6 could hit the European markets by summer.
