HTC, as you are aware, has earlier decided to do away with boot loaders of its latest phones. This was however, met with not-so-warm reception in the market. Going by the market reception, HTC has decided to loosen its stand.

TO be fair to HTC, it wasn’t alone in wishing to tighten up the boot loaders of its devices. But, the tough stand occurred from the release of the Incredible S. This has made many HTC followers stand up against the decision.

HTC has reported that the feedback has been overwhelmingly vocal and people want access to open boot loaders on HTC phones. This was reported through the Facebook page of HTC.

Going with that, HTC has now revealed the release date of the boot loader. Going through a process which was described as “a complex challenge”, HTC has put forth that the “software updates to support bootloader unlocking will begin rolling out in August for the global HTC Sensation“.

It would be HTC Sensation that would get the bootloader unlock update first, followed by US-based HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Evo 3D devices. The other device owners need to wait a little till it is known when the release would be. Stay tuned to mobile hub!
